AS LITTLE AS NECESSARY AS FRIENDLY AS POSSIBLE
In this spirit, I am constantly working to preserve old surfaces and structures. I try to avoid massive measures such as stripping or sanding.

SPECIAL TREATMENTS
Purification by special techniques, incorporation of existing surfaces and gluing complementary veneer and flaws are done as mindful and faithfully as the piece allows.

RECONSTRUCTION
If there have been faulty repairs in the past, I reconstruct the antique furniture according to its era and create a surface which belongs to the piece.

AUTHENTICITY
The use of predominantly old paints (for example shellac), glues (for example bone or fish glue), color formulations and reversible fabrics ensure the authenticity of the piece of furniture.

HANDCRAFT
Great value I place on it, possible to restore traditionally by hand and to largely dispense with the use of machinery.

CONTEMPORARY WITNESS
Through my restoration methods i try to preserve contemporary witness of the pre-industrial era to the posterity.
